Public Affairs
The Alcohol/Drug Council’s public affairs activities include advocacy with the press, public policy makers, elected officials and addiction professionals. ADCNC promotes the effectiveness of prevention and treatment and addiction professionalism. The Council also strives to improve communication among criminal justice, public and private sectors.
ADCNC provides services to:
- Addicts, their families and communities
- The news media
- Educators
- Government policy makers
- Public health and substance abuse professionals and the medical community
- Statewide health and substance abuse organizations
- Drug treatment, community resource, family resource and juvenile courts
